Preventive Health & Safety Training Reimbursement

Health and Safety Reimbursement Scholarships are Now Available to Providers and Educators!

Early childhood providers and educators are eligible for Health and Safety Reimbursement Scholarships for the current fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025) through Connections for Children.

Health and Safety trainings – including Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Preventive Health and Safety – are key professional development opportunities required of all early child care providers to help maintain a physically safe and nurturing environment for young children. 

Reimbursement scholarships are available to licensed center staff, licensed family child care providers, and license-exempt child care providers on a first-come basis, as long as funding is available. Scholarship applicants must provide care in Connections for Children’s service area. Other qualifications for reimbursement include: 

  • Completed Pediatric CPR, First Aid (min. 8 hours) or Preventative Health & Safety.
  • Certification of training must indicate a completion date within July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.
  • Training from an approved Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) Institution or trainer is required.
  • Individual must provide care in Connections for Children's service area.

*Scholarships are limited to three staff per licensed facility, with a maximum scholarship amount of $150 per person.
