Alternative Payment
Eligibility criteria: family’s adjusted monthly income must be at or below the 85% of the State Median Income.
- Serves children from birth through 12 years.
- Program assist parents demonstrating a need for services based on: receiving Child Protective Services, employed, seeking employment, vocational training/educational programs, incapacitated or seeking permanent housing.
- Funded by the California Department of Social Services.
Santa Monica Child Care Support Program
Eligibility criteria: Family’s adjusted monthly income must be at or below the 100% of the State Median Income.
- Serves children from birth to kindergarten.
- Only available to City of Santa Monica residents who demonstrate a need for services based on: The Santa Monica Well Being Referral, employed, seeking employment, vocational training/educational programs, incapacitated or seeking permanent housing.
- Funded by the City of Santa Monica for Santa Monica residents.
CalWORKs Stage I
Eligibility criteria: receiving CalWORKs and family’s adjusted monthly income must be at or below the 85% of the State Median Income.
- Serves children from birth through 12 years.
- Funded by the California Department of Social Services.
CalWORKs Stage II
Eligibility criteria: family’s adjusted monthly income must be at or below the 85% of the State Median Income. Parents must either still be receiving cash aid or have been discontinued from aid within the previous 24 months. Families can transfer from Stage 1 or another Stage 2 agency.
- Serves children from birth through 12 years.
- Program assists parents demonstrating a need for services based on: receiving Child Protective Services, employed, seeking employment, vocational training/educational programs, incapacitated or seeking permanent housing.
- Funded by the California Department of Social Services.
CalWORKs Stage III
Eligibility criteria: family’s adjusted monthly income must be at or below the 85% of the State Median Income. If funding is available, former parents transition from a CalWORKs Stage 1 or Stage 2 program after discontinuance from aid.
- Serves children birth through 12 years.
- Program assists parents demonstrating a need for services based on: receiving Child Protective Services, employed, seeking employment, vocational training/educational programs, incapacitated or seeking permanent housing.
